Building Description: Seneca One Tower, located at 1 W Seneca Street Buffalo, New York, was constructed
between 1969-1974 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. Seneca One is the tallest (privately owned) office building outside of NYC in New York State. Today, the 40-story building dominates Buffalo’s skyline standing at 529 feet high. It’s truly a sight to see. The building contains over 1,200,000 square feet of space. The building was formerly known as One HSBC Center (1999-2013) and Marine Midland Center (1972-1999, and spans the southern end of Main Street under which Buffalo Metro Rail passes. In 2014, after a long period of dormancy, Douglas Jemal purchased the building and immediately got to work. Douglas Development is proud to be completely redeveloping
Seneca One, Buffalo’s tallest and most iconic building with 360-degree views across our Queen City. We continue to work to turn this historical skyscraper into a mixed-use facility to feature over 100 apartments, retail operations, and commercial space with its 360-degree views over WNY. Together, we’ll bring a new wave of energy downtown with the most anticipated development in our city’s modern history.
